My wife and I have been breeding and training powerful working dogs, from Great Pyrenees to German Shepherds and with our love of the larger to giant breeds we were attracted to the King Shepherds. The first King Shepherd we got, FKS Valkyrie, has proved a wonderful addition to our pack and has fully piqued our interest in being able to help develop the King Shepherd breed. We do a lot of research and planning with our dogs to ensure the right drive, colors, personalities, and size for the puppies for the safety of the mothers but to ensure that all our puppies are strong and healthy when they go to their forever homes.

We are the breeders behind A Tier Above Shepherds located in Newsoms, VA. At A Tier Above Shepherds, we strive to breed dogs of health and temperament. We want these dogs to be lifelong companions and workers for their families, bringing beauty with brains. We love all colors and will never compromise health to get a specific color. Our puppies go through ENS and ESI exercises to offer them and the families who get them the very best We have breed and raised 2 litters of Great Pyrenees, 4 litters of Miniature Schnauzers, and 2 litters of German Shepherds and we have raised all the puppies to 8-10 weeks of age while doing ENS and ESI for auditory and visual stimuli and exposing them to as many different things as possible so that they would be ready to go to their new homes.
